The band Dafina introduces two approach to the traditional music of Balkan, Hungary and eastern Europe. The first one is an acoustic sound with jazz elements, the second one is more electronic. The lyrics are based on poems.

The two approach is aiming to reach the same goal, to show how a young generation of musicians see their musical heritage.

The band Dafina has been founded by Sándor Födő Jr. In 2000 who is also the composer of the songs.

After the early years of finding its own style, these days they have started to use a mix of electronic and traditional instruments (vocals, bass, violin, saz, accordion, sax, percussions) with musicians from different backgrounds.

In the last year more than 40 radios, festivals and record companies showed interest to Dafina.

The main goal of Dafina is to make their approach of the music of Eastern Europe known around the world. At the same time to entertain.
