Zsemlye Sándor-saxophone, clarinet

Born in 1970, Budapest, Hungary

History
He started to learn from teachers in 1986, while he was a member of the band Satöbbi.

In 1989 he began to learn in the jazz faculty of Bela Bartok Highschool of Music where he graduated in 1992. That year he won a Hungarian national cultural competition „Ki Mit Tud”, which helped him to release his first album „Mundo”.

That time he has played on several records and been a regular member of Rock Theatre of Budapest.
He formed his own band „Just Friends” and played in lots of groups, e.g. Fusio, Ferenczi György and the H.D., Tea, Kiru Gotta Humble, M.Á.K., Vasvári Pál band.

These days
He likes different styles of music. His play has been influenced by the music of Charlie Parker, Cannonball Adderley, David Sanborn and Gerald Albright (amongst others, the list would be very long).

His favorite styles these days are ethno and Latin music. The main challenge for him is Dafina. As an every day works he plays for the Orchestra of the Hungarian Border Guards, which also enlarges his musical horizon.
